The partnership brings the safety and efficiency benefits of Change Healthcare’s Gold Certified e-prescribing platform to Elixir’s intuitive single-source solution that streamlines practice workflow, improves efficiencies, reduces costs and improves clinical outcomes.

Elixir EHR is an intuitive and highly customizable subscription-based solution that gives healthcare providers affordable access to all practice management and EHR features and functions needed to support a busy practice. With Change Healthcare integration, the system will be synced with Change Healthcare database in real-time to capture e-prescribing data, check for drug interactions, transmit prescriptions to the pharmacy, and check insurance formulary lists. With this partnership, Change Healthcare will also be able to issue drug recall alerts to Elixir for search and sort capability to identify patients currently prescribed with that particular drug, who can then be notified promptly. Since all of this is happening at the back end, this enhances user experience by keeping things simple and straightforward.

With this integration, Elixir users will now be able to easily and securely submit electronic prescriptions to any retail or mail-order pharmacy while accessing comprehensive clinical information for each patient at the point-of-care. All resulting prescribing data is instantly capture within Elixir which the care team members can access anytime within the system.
This integration is set to comply with the latest certification requirements released by the ONC and thus take Elixir to new levels. Additionally, customers using the Elixir EHR will be able to eliminate illegible prescriptions, issue faster prescriptions, and experience dramatic reductions in calls and faxes between the medical office and the pharmacy.
